A Mothers Guide to Baby Care

Laura Donnellan, 2017

A MOTHER’S GUIDE TO BABY CARE I’m very happy to share with you my new book ‘A MOTHER’S GUIDE TO BABY CARE:

Having a new-born baby is the most exciting time of your life. You want to enjoy the experience as much as possible and get as much out of it as you can, but of course, it also comes with its own set of challenges.

Those early months provide some of the most joyful moments you’ll have as a mother. Unfortunately, they pass by all too quickly so, if you are unprepared, you can suddenly realise you’ve missed out on the fun, the wonder, the pleasure of watching your new-born baby. It’s all over before you know it and, like too many mothers today, you’re left with memories of the stressful times, of being exhausted from sleepless nights.

You want to enjoy the experience and look back with fond memories. Only by being fully prepared, and in control, can you be sure to enjoy every moment.

I have had three children in three years and have learnt through first-hand experience what works and what clearly does not. Follow me on my journey and you too can learn my secrets to becoming a happy, confident parent.

Drawing from real-life examples, ‘A MOTHER’S GUIDE TO BABY CARE’ is a reader friendly book that will help you through the first 12 months of parenthood, and beyond, focusing on the importance of routine and consistency – the key to a happy calm household.

‘A MOTHER’S GUIDE TO BABY CARE’ provides realistic advice, detailed practical solutions, and easy-to-follow graphs, tables and pictures. So, it really does have everything you need to prepare for life with your new-born baby.

Happy, Stress-Free Parenting

Frequently, friends and strangers comment on how well-behaved my children are and how I’m always happy and relaxed looking. I am constantly asked how I do it, especially when they have fewer children yet still struggle with basic everyday tasks.

Well, I haven’t achieved this by chance

I was one of six children, and growing up noticed how little time my own mother had to herself. As I prepared for the birth of my first child, I wanted to do the best for my baby and ensure my baby, myself and my partner all had time to rest, play and enjoy the whole experience.

With three children under the age of three years, I know what works and I can help you. Read my book and you too will discover my secrets to a happy, stress-free life.

For New Parents, For Mothers, For You

I’ve written this book for new parents, to help them be happy and confident with their new-born baby and develop good habits from the start. You don’t want to get into a situation where you are exhausted and stressed, which can only be bad for you and your new-born baby. ‘A MOTHER’S GUIDE TO BABY CARE’ will help reassure you that you are doing things the right way.

I’ve also written this book to help mothers who struggle with the little things, to guide them through real practical steps to having a calm relaxed household. I want to support and offer solutions to parents who believe in the importance of establishing good habits early so that their babies can grow to become happy children, and teenagers. But most of all, I want to help all mothers enjoy to the fullest those early months with their new-born baby, and the years that follow, and not fall into the difficulties so many parents do. Just remember, there is no magic spell – just practical common sense.
